Used super mini citroen c1
The Citroen C1 was released to fight in the same market as the Peugeot 107, the Suzuki Swift and even the new Mini. The C1 is cheap to buy and run, and the C1's funky styling gives it broad appeal compared to the now conservative look of the new Mini. There are limited engine choices with the Citroen C1, there is a 1.0 petrol or a 1.4 petrol, both come with a 5 speed gearbox. The 1.0 litre petrol variant is quite nippy around town and holds its own on the motorways and dual carriageways. The diesel is slower and not as nippy to drive, so one to avoid as it’s more expensive as well. Typically super minis have had a soft ride to enhance comfort during town driving, not the C1 – it has a very firm ride and the suspension can be heard and even felt over rougher surfaces. But, it does hold well and body roll is very minimal. The three-cylinder engine is brash, but this sound can lend the car an appealing sporty feel on short jaunts.
On longer journeys, however, it becomes wearing.
I have seen a used Citroen C1 in Aldershot for under £6,000, which make them excellent value for money. http://www.chartersgroup.com/citroen/used-cars/Citroen/C1
